The EMMA Project
The EMMA Partnership is a region-wide initiative led by Leicester Money Advice in collaboration with 23 advice agencies across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. We are funded by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform under a key strand of the Government's Financial Inclusion Fund. Our primary aim is to provide free debt advice to those excluded from mainstream financial services (affordable credit, bank accounts and independent financial advice) and those who are facing significant levels of debt and financial difficulty.
The EMMA programme is funded by the Department of Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, and is part of the Government's Financial Inclusion Fund initiative. The funding is used to employ 50 debt advisers who are based within EMMA delivery partners based across the East Midlands region. Our delivery partners are made up of Citizens Advice Bureaux, Law Centres and independent advice agencies providing local advice services across the region.
